MEMBERS MEET AND GREET

Unfortunately, with the ongoing COVID-19 we have to cancel our annual meet and greet indefinitely.

RECIPROCAL

After a long discussion this past winter, we have decided to part ways with Mapleview Golf Course. I truly feel that you (the members) deserve an equal playing golf course. I am unable to discuss with you at this time who our new reciprocal will be with as we are still finalizing some details. When I  have these details confirmed, you will be the first to know!
Thank you to Mapleview Golf Course for being part of the Rivendell family for the past years.

CART PACKAGE

Our member cart package has recently been changed. If you decide to ride alone and not share with a playing partner the fee will be $15.00 (any medical reasons will be dealt with on an individual basis). The $6.00 fee will stay the same as previous years.
Please talk to me before the season begins.

ONLINE BOOKING

A couple of items have changed for booking your tee times online. The members will now be able to book 8 days in advance beginning at 7:00PM the day before (instead of midnight).
The public players will be able to book 5 days in advance (unless they have 3 or more groups). If anyone has trouble with signing in on www.tee-on.com please let myself or the pro shop know.

CART PATH PAVING

We will be taking one day at the end of May or early June (whenever the ground settles) to have Williams Paving Ltd. come in and pave three areas for us. Nine holes on this day will be closed to accommodate the paving. The three areas are as follows...
Area #1: Power cart parking spots from carts 50-68 as well as the members private cart parking. Area #2: The maintenance road behind the 16th green leading to the maintenance building.
Area #3: In front of the green on #15, beside the tee block on #16, beside the green on #17 and in between the tee blocks on #3 + #18. This will terminate the potholes in this high traffic area.

PRIVATE CARTS

Rivendell is one of the few courses left who allow private carts to be used on the course. The understanding is that these carts will be used for the registered owner and partner or guest of the same. Carts loaned out to golfers not part of the agreement are subject to a daily trail fee. Simply speaking you can take someone with you but loaning out your cart competes with our cart fleet and is not covered by your yearly trail fee. Please park in your designated area and observe restrictions on where to drive your cart during periods of wet weather. Carts must be maintained in a reasonable manner regarding safety such as brakes and adequate noise reduction on exhaust systems. We would like to get all carts marked with a parking number visible to all and a name in a more inconspicuous area. Please see the pro shop for labels.

MATCH PLAY

Match play signup will be available mid May in the pro shop. Please remember that in order to play match play you must have a valid handicap. Using all your games helps to ensure a good match and confidence in the system. Entering multiple games just before the match or using games from last year to establish a handicap may raise concerns regarding handicap validity and could result in a golfer playing from a scratch handicap.

IN A BETTER PLACE NOW

The Rivendell family would like to take this moment to remember the following people who we tragically lost this offseason:

  • Junior Hartwick
  • Tim Hamilton
  • Reginald Steele

We send our deepest condolences to all the families that lost their loved ones.
May they rest in peace.

STAY SAFE

We are doing the best we can amidst an unpredictable and evolving situation. If you have any questions about the upcoming season please let me know.
Stay safe and take care.
